This is my WordPress site

There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I just got sick of editing HTML by hand, and I wanted to have an RSS link — since all the other kids are doing it. I used to tease Jay Small about doing all this PHP crap. But I’ve gotten into PHP in the last 6 months at RI.gov and gained some respect for it. Jay’s latest post was the catalyst to get me to try WordPress. And Jim Willis is doing some cool stuff with it on his site — although he has been doing even more interesting stuff with Python/Zope/Plone on the Secretary of State’s site.

Hey, I don’t care. I’ll use whatever gets the job done! :) Now if I can just some of my old posts in here and make this thing look pretty…

    Joe Alba taking Jay Small’s advice? I think I see the horsemen of the Apocalypse on the horizon! ;-)

    Seriously, I’m liking WP so far — I’ve set it to sniff for comment spam (noting your later post) and throw it into the moderation queue. It effectively snuffed the latest wave of pills/poker/porn on my site. You may not need a separate plug-in.
